Labor Day Sandbar Concert 2012!

The only practical way to get to the SandBar is by Boat, Canoe, or Kayak.
Kids, Dogs, Coolers, are all welcome at the sandbar.

(NOTE: Animals and alcoholic beverages are not welcomed by Weedon Island Park, if you are launching your canoe or kayak there)

But from almost anywhere else, you can bring plastic chairs if you want to sit in the water and enjoy the event, coolers with your favorite beverage, and maybe a sun umbrella for some shade. Boats that are up close have a good view but, if you don’t get there early, you will anchor a bit farther from the Band Barge, and a chair in the water, with your favorite beverage, and maybe a snack or two, makes it just that much more FUN!

Labor Day
I know this sandbar

This is a tradition and simply a fun, Sunday Concert, put on by the members of the Cross Creek Blues Band, with the help of some great friends and neighbors who help make this possible. Again . . . . This is a FREE CONCERT . . . . The musicians donate all their time and effort, and nobody pays them to do this. They currently have no sponsorship, So . . . . There is a TIP JAR for the band, to sort of defray the cost of doing the concert. Donations are always very welcome and appreciated.

Thanks for all your support!
